FINANCE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK (FIN)
A FIN is used for propelling, steering and balancing – in the water or in the air.
It was announced recently that Bill Gates will semi-retire to focus on leading the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The Bible says that the sons of this world are shrewder than the sons of light (read Luke 16:1-13).
I feel sad that many wealthy Christians are not generous enough to spend time along with their money, to make sure that their money be most effective for the kingdom of God. It is about practicing real good stewardship for God.
Most Christians finance what they can enjoy themselves such as their own local church. They may help people, ministries and charities they come to know about.
But they seldom go out there to find somebody, or something, worthy and needy to finance.
For example, a 500 dollars need for a missionary, saving souls but without the support of any organization, is more important than a 500,000 dollars need for a new local church building.
People finance what they see, and what are closely attached to. People finance what they feel.
A lone missionary obeying God may not be able to do a power point presentation or have a website to promote his work all over the world.
Most missionaries are working with an established organization.
But God is raising-up ministries and work. These people do not know how to advertise or the proper marketable ways to solicit funds. They may not be good at Public Relations at all. Some of them are so new that nobody would want to take time to get to know them and their vision. They do not meet the run-of-the-mill requirements of an established organization. God may give them a vision that is unique or groundbreaking.
Hence, a Christian foundation is needed, with the purpose of funding ministries and God’s work.
It will be a highly professional and deeply spiritual organization. It has to be chaired by wealthy Christians, men of God and ministers; who really care for God’s work and who are kingdom minded.
Needs are assessed, and investigated, not based on human values nor based on human sentimentalism.
This organization will have a professional management team and its own field ministers to encourage and pray with the recipients out there. These ministers will go out to the highways and byways. They will go out there to the hidden valleys and to the mountains. They will come back with a godly report, and assess the need for funding.
The management team would be wise in managing the funds professionally.
This will be a mirror of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; but a Christ-centered organization with kingdom mindedness and a high level of spirituality.
Wealthy Christians can draw other wealthy Christians on board.
Can wealthy Christians be God-loving, highly spiritual and having a true servant heart? Wealth has the power of deception. But Jesus said that it is not impossible for the wealthy to enter-in.
There are many wealthy Christian who are really spiritual, and truly love God.
But now they have to come together in order to practice good stewardship of their money.
There will be no bipartisan because of associations with different local churches and denominations. There will be no monopoly by large churches, ministries and establishments.
The professional management team and ministers will pray before they give.
They will be spiritual enough to discern whether God’s hand is in that particular ministry.
They will not be hindered by promotion shortcomings of the recipients.
They will not be moved purely by human considerations and emotionalism.
• Chaired by wealthy Christians, men of God and ministers who are truly God-loving, spiritual and generous.
• Run by Christians who are both professional and spiritual - in handling and allocating funds – in recruiting partners and soliciting funds. They pray often to discern God’s will and to recognize the true work of God.
• Supervised by ministers who not only recommend funding; but go out there to visit, stay a while and minister to the recipients.
When the above happens; we are bound to see a spiritual revival, a great harvest of souls, and the usher-in of the return of Christ.
Some promote the idea.
Some pioneer it.
Some lead and manage it for the long run.
Some listen, and pass it on.
Some pray.
We all do our part in the kingdom of God.
