And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)
Is it real?
Money can do for us lots of things. It is real. Just get some cash, go to the shop. Find something you want, pay for it, surely you will get it. What is more powerful, and more consequential, is truth. But the truth has got to be real. Just as real as what money will do; the truth must be. Truth must be applicable every time - whenever or whatever. It must bring results. Truth involves more than having a set of principles. Truth reveals the true condition of our heart. It engages us. It makes a difference when we continue to make a connection with it.
At times, truth requires praying and searching (Matthew 7:7-8). It is compared to the hidden treasure and the pearl of great price (Matthew 13:44-46).
Ultimately, truth is a Him.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1&4)
Truth focuses us on the Son of God. It causes us to pray to God, asking for grace and help.
A song comes up, which says, "O let the Son of God enfold you."
