The understanding of Romans chapters 3 to 8 boils down to the keyword: faith.
As far as faith is concerned, the contents of Romans chapters 3 to 8 can be divided into two sections: Romans chapters 3 to 5 & Romans chapters 6 to 8.
The contents of Romans chapters 3 to 5 are about faith to be saved.
The contents of Romans chapters 6 to 8 are about faith to overcome
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “ For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Read the list, do you find the word `sin' there? Nope. Why? Simply because sin will separate us from God.
Romans 3 - 5 tell us how we can have forgiveness of sin. Romans 6 - 8 tell us how to overcome sin.
We are persuaded that nothing, and no one, can cause us to sin. NOTHING and NO ONE shall separate us from the love of God. This is FAITH speaking.
