Just imagine. A new person walks into the church service. He has been carrying a burden of personal problems.
And out of the blue, a church member walks up to him, and shares how God had revealed details of his problems. The church members knew things that only he himself, the only person, would know.
Not only that, the church member had revelation of the nature, root cause and the origin of his problems that he himself was not fully aware of.
The church member, in love, offered to pray together with this new person. And as they prayed, his burdens were lifted up. God became so real. God knew his problems. He had a full realization that God cared.
What a reality of God!
Imagine the above being a normal occurrence in a regular church life experience!
Our God is redemptive. He will never reveal hidden things if He weren’t plan to help and restore.
The gift of the word of knowledge is much needed in the intercession ministry. Many intercessors who are led by the Holy Spirit will have this gift.
Many who sought to be led by the Holy Spirit in the area of counseling will also manifest this gift.
When we are depended on revelation, we are less reliance on our own intelligence.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Balaam’s donkey could see what the prophet Balaam could not see. Balaam’s donkey had revelation.
We have to depend on divine revelation to be most effective in helping people, even, at times, in the expense of our observation, education and experience.
