The Corinthians Group Of Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
The Corinthians Group is activated through the infilling, or at other times enveloping, or coming upon, of the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:6-12; Acts 2:3-12; 1 Samuel 10:10; 1 Samuel 19:20).
The important point is that the Romans Group operates from the inmost spirit being/person whereas the Corinthians Group operate from the heart/soul. This defines the difference between the two groups.
.
There is a difference between - when we are motivated, moved, speak from our spirit being/person – and, when it is from our heart/soul
In 1 Thessalonians 5:23, we are told that we are a 3-dimensional being/person: spirit, soul and body.
Our spirit person is our inmost being, deeper than our heart/soul (where our emotions and intellect are).
We seriously need to grow, through experience, to identify this difference within us in real life.
Whenever a gift in the Corinthians Group operates; it begins with, or it is the after effect of, the Holy Spirit in the heart/soul.
Therefore, even when are gifted in the Corinthians Group; we might ignorantly try, or attempt, to operate without the Holy Spirit in our soul.
Knowing this, we should refrain ourselves lest we move and speak from our own feelings, thoughts and perception – of our own heart/soul – and not the Holy Spirit.
The gift of the word of knowledge in the Corinthians Group, for example, can be activated in an infilling experience with the message being received there and then – but the message can be released very much later to the beneficiary. In any case, we should be sensitive to our spirit being/person as to the right timing to the release the message. We are led by the Holy Spirit through `the knowing’ that we have in our spirit being/person.
Even when the infilling is being experienced, and the gift operates with the message delivered to the hearer there and then; the infilling experience can be hardly noticeable except to the gifted instrument being used by God.
The infilling can be very quiet.
The infilling is not always accompanied by the unknown tongues (it is our Pentecostal tradition that causes us to think otherwise).
We should all be filled with the Holy Spirit whichever level our gift is.
We Can Operate At Both Levels
A = operate from our spirit being/person
B = operate from the infilling/enveloping
Romans Group: A
Corinthians Group: A + B
Multiple Gifts, Multiple Levels
The Corinthians Group is of a higher level than the Romans Group because of the intensity of its anointing meant for a greater impact.
An individual might have numerous gifts at all 3 levels of gifts.
