Faith is not something we have conjured up. Faith’s origin is not our mind. True faith cannot be fabricated in the workshop of our mind. Faith is not a mental assent. Faith is not a gimmick, nor is it a game we play with God. Faith is real because God is a real person. He is God Almighty Who knows us more than we think. Faith is not an abstract concept or idea. Faith involves real life issues, real people and real practical everyday living. Faith Is Real.
The intrinsic nature and the intrinsic worth …of faith …is a relationship with God. Faith is not self-inducing. Faith is not independent of our relationship with God. Faith must be connected to God. Faith lives, acts, functions, works …because we have a relationship with God. Faith enables us to relate to God. Faith Is Relate.
Can you make out the actual difference between self-confidence and faith-in-God? Faith is to trust God. Faith is relying on God just as well as an object on the table. The object is totally dependent on the table. The object rests its full weight on the table. Faith Is Reliance.
