Walking On The Tightrope, A Delicate Balance
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, (Romans 1:20)
The earth is an optimum distance from the sun: too near is too hot, too far is too cold. At this optimum distance, there is life.
There is a delicate balance, an optimum balance, between grace and responsibility.
In my own life, I find that when I was depending on the grace of God for a victorious, overcoming Christian and abdicated my responsibility to exercise and do what needed to be done: I failed and fell. But when I focused on myself and became self-reliant: I couldn’t succeed nor overcome either.
There is a flow of God’s grace into our lives. And it flows like a rhythm.
There is a time when God works in us to do His good pleasure. And there is a time when we need to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
There is a time when God manifests and reveals Himself to us. And there is a time when God requires us to seek Him with all of our heart.
There is a time and season for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
We need to be in this delicate balance of grace and responsibility.
Gravitational Pull
There will be times when you sense the pull of the world is so strong, pulling you downwards spiritually.
Have faith in God; do not succumb to the flesh i.e. the body which is the historical product of the earth, for Adam was made from the clay of the earth.
Just as the gravity of the sun up there is stronger than the earth, remember that the spiritual pull of the Son is stronger that the spiritual pull of this world.
Be conscious of this very reality and truth.
The spiritual gravity of the Son of God will pull you up. Just trust that at the right time you will be delivered, and lifted-up spiritually.
