Revelation From Heaven
Genesis 31:9-13
Then the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’ And He said, ‘Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted; for I have seen all that Laban is doing to you. (Genesis 31:11-12)
Jacob performed the miracle because he had the revelation from heaven.
Joseph’s gift of dreams elevated him, paved way for him to be promoted all the way to second-in-command of the whole of Egypt.
Daniels’s miraculous knowledge and wisdom from heaven, propelled him, made room for him to serve in the position equivalent to the Prime Minister. He served under two different emperors.
A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men. (Proverbs 18:16)
For too long, the exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit has been confined to Christian gatherings, direct evangelistic activities and church events.
But once again, we will have to be vessels whom the Holy Spirit can use to manifest His power in the secular world, in non-religious environment, in politics, in the board room, in the professional field, in business, in corporate, in sports, in schools, in community work, in society everywhere, in every setting available to mankind.
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:11)
We must believe that we can manifest the gifts of the Holy Spirit among non-believers in a demanding high-pressure environment. Jesus performed miracles, not in organized-preset-prepared situations conditioned for ministry, but everywhere in the given natural circumstances. Jesus reset the circumstances and re-created the environment, there and then.
Before we can evangelize, God first must be honored and glorified. Miracles and supernatural demonstration of the power of God will usher in the glory and honor of God. Then people will be more than willing to hear us.
The greatest evangelism is not in Christian meetings, door-to-door witnessing, street evangelism, church programs or any purpose-driven evangelistic efforts for that matter.
The greatest arena of evangelism is in the ready-made secular world. The field is white for harvest. The harvest field is our neighbors - in where we live, in where we work, in family functions, in social circles, in where we run errands, in wherever we relate to people, in whatever location where there are people. It is life upon life. It is about touching people in their original habitat in their natural course of actions.
Yes, we do go out of our way to minister salvation to a single soul, like Jesus did for the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well.
But the harvest field is also right in front of us ...right at our doorstep ...right where we check-in everyday ...right where we are ...wherever God place us.
