Anointed To Prosper
Genesis 30:32-43
And it came to pass, whenever the stronger livestock conceived, that Jacob placed the rods before the eyes of the livestock in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods. But when the flocks were feeble, he did not put them in; so the feebler were Laban’s and the stronger Jacob’s. Thus the man became exceedingly prosperous, and had large flocks, female and male servants, and camels and donkeys. (Genesis 30:41-31)
Previously, I thought that there are 3 Principles To God’s Financial Blessing because I did not have any enlightenment on the life example of Jacob. Now that I see, I have to add Jacob’s principle to make it `4 Principles To God’s Financial Blessing’.
Reading Genesis 30:32-43, you can’t help but conclude that the whole incident had to be supernatural. There is no way to change animal genes, DNA and pigment by visual adjustment.
Jacob was anointed by God Himself to perform a creative miraculous act resulting in financial blessing. This teaches us to ask for God’s anointing, seek God’s anointing - in business, career and ministry (yes, God can financially prosper our ministry too!).
We all need, to a certain measure, the anointing in our vocation, earning an income. We are giving our finances to the kingdom of God. We give our time to serve God’s purpose and plan. We give ourselves to be devoted to God. Unlike believers, we aren’t workaholic. We don’t sell our soul to the company, organization or job. We need supernatural assistance to make-up and level-up for our commitment away from it.
We need God’s intervention to meet expectations, and exceed them to the glory of God. Miraculous manifestation bears God’s stamp and signature. The people around us will know who are the ones linked to God in heaven, who have access to Him.
Without the miraculous, it is a great disadvantage to genuine Christians. Without the miraculous, Christianity is a religious trapping that burdens. Christianity without the miraculous will put sincere believers in a great disadvantage in the business and corporate world – especially because they don’t cheat, bribe or manipulate. We need God to be in our situation if we are to shine, or at least, to perform our duties with integrity in a dishonest environment.
