Greatest Love Story Yet To Finish
Genesis 24:61-67
Then Rebekah and her maids arose, and they rode on the camels and followed the man. So the servant took Rebekah and departed. (Genesis 24:61)
Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death. (Genesis 24:67)
The servant depicted the Holy Spirit. The servant took Rebekah. At the Rapture, it will be the Holy Spirit who will be taking us up to meet Jesus.
At the end of Rebekah’s journey, Isaac took Rebekah as his wife. The Holy Spirit will bring the bride to Jesus. And the Holy Spirit will pass the bride to Jesus. And Jesus will take-in the bride, the church, as His wife.
Jesus will shower His love upon us. He will consummate His divine love when we join Him, no longer separated in any way, manner or form.
Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death. Jesus came to us through the virgin birth. Isaac’s mother Sarah symbolized Mary. Both gave miracle births.
Jesus, God incarnate, came through Mary when she was still a virgin. The memory of Mary represented Jesus’ humble earthly life and His tortured death.
Our Lord Jesus is still feeling the pain of His sacrifice. The great wedding, The Marriage Of The Lamb, the union of the church to Jesus; will make all of Jesus’ sufferings worth it.
The stinging painful memory will be soothed, compensated. He will be comforted for the fact that He will be with us for eternity unhindered, unhampered.
