Dear Priests,
Aaron and his sons, the priesthood, were sanctified by blood and anointed by oil. The tabernacle, too, was sanctified by blood and anointed by oil.
We are part of the new line of priesthood, the royal priesthood in Christ. Whenever we come to God's presence being conscious of the blood of Christ and its blessed implications, we will experience the anointing and the power of God.
Think Of The Blood
Matthew 26:28-29
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” (Matthew 26:28-29)
As we read the above verses, let’s take some time to think of the blood. Let’s meditate on the blessed implications of the blood, because this is how we apply the benefits of the blood in our lives.
The more I meditate on the blood, the more I see the power of the blood. I thank God for the blood.
1. Redemption Through The Blood
knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. (1 Peter 1:18-19)
The "nearest kinsman" or "kinsman redeemer" is a Goel. The word means to redeem, receive or buy back. Provision was made in the Law of Moses for the poor person who was forced to sell part of his property or himself into slavery. His nearest of kin could step in and "buy back" what his relative was forced to sell (Leviticus 25:48f). The kinsman redeemer was a rich benefactor, or person who frees the debtor by paying the ransom price. "If a fellow countryman of yours becomes so poor he has to sell part of his property, then his nearest kinsman is to come and buy back what his relative has sold" (Leviticus 25:25; cf. Ruth 4:4, 6).

We sold ourselves to Satan’s pawnshop. And Christ redeemed us at the price of His precious blood. Christ delivered us from the stronghold of this dark world. We have been released from the clutches of Satan.
When I grasp the redemptive power of the blood, I begin to have a deeper sense of appreciation.
2. Forgiveness Through The Blood
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7)
The blood of Christ the Son fully satisfied the holy anger of God the Father towards us; once and for all. Now, whenever we come to God acknowledging what the blood had done, we will always have the forgiveness of God.
3. Belonging Through The Blood
He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. (John 6:56)
In our day, we use the term `flesh and blood’ to denote kinship. We often say, “blood is thicker than water.”
We belong to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, Who was slain for us. His body was broken, and His blood was shed for us at the cross. We have divine kinship because we have believed, accepted, acknowledged, confessed and identified with Him.
Protection comes from belonging. We are protected because Satan and his demons know, to Whom do we belong; they have a great awareness of it.
4. Holiness Through The Blood
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Corinthians 6:20)
Holiness is about value.
We were redeemed by our Kinsman Redeemer, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
We were bought at an extremely high price, His blood. He was without sin. His blood was undefiled, pure and holy. His, was a completely innocent blood; because He was without even a single spot of sin, without any single wrinkle of corruption at all.
Therefore, being conscious of it, we take care of what is of great value. We preserve our spiritual quality; by not compromising ourselves.
This consciousness will make us selective of what we take-in and do.
When we think of the value, the high price paid by the precious blood of Christ, we will have spiritual keenness about it.
And this will keep us from corruption.
We are instructed to consistently contemplate the truth of the blood. As a result of the broken body of Jesus, the blood flowed out. In the Holy Communion, we are regularly reminded afresh of the revelation of the body and the blood of Christ which were given for us. We have to have the spiritual reality of this truth.
Otherwise, the Holy Communion will be in vain.
5. Cleansing Through The Blood
elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: (1 Peter 1:2)
Through the blood, we are cleansed of our guilty conscience (Hebrews 9:14).
When we aptly apply the truth of the blood, the Holy Spirit will wash away the effects and symptoms of sins in our lives; such as guilt, worry, fear, negativity, bitterness, depression, oppression and etc.
6. Renewal Through The Blood
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. (Romans 5:9)
We read books and watched movies, and we get the idea of the time travel machine. People fantasize to go back in time so that they can rectify their mistakes in the past.
Through the blood, our life can be made anew every time we apply the blood. We can be a new person, over and over again, through the blood (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We are justified. Though our sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18).
God washes our record clean. We have a clean slate. Life is made anew whenever the blood is applied. We have a new future. And this is wonderful news!
7. Fellowship Through The Blood
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
We have continual fellowship with one another because of the blood. Without the blood, the forces of darkness can easily separate the brethren.
The blood of Jesus unifies us.
When we walk in the light, no misunderstanding or disagreement should be able to separate us. The blood has the power to attach us together, anytime.
So, as we apply the blood, we will always have fellowship with one another. This is the promise of the blood!
More!
Checking through the Bible concordance; there are more than these 7 significances of the blood which I have mentioned above.
Such as, those who wish to have a closer walk with God; can have Closeness Through The Blood (Ephesians 2:13).
And, we can all have total peace with God, and peace within: Peace Through The Blood (Colossians 1:20).
Think of the blood!
